About:

The TUSOM SNMA Pop-Up Clinic was established in February 2023 by 4 medical students committed to bringing quality and equitable healthcare to the heart of New Orleans. The SNMA Pop Up Clinic’s mission is simple yet profound: to make healthcare more equitable and accessible to all. We do this through conducting monthly pop-up clinics at local festivals and churches throughout the city. Our purpose is deeply rooted in a commitment to improving the health and well-being the African American population , who have historically faced disparities in healthcare access. We believe that everyone deserves the opportunity to live a healthy and fulfilling life, and we are dedicated to making that a reality. SNMA Pop-Up Clinic is driven by a passion for social justice and equality. We understand that healthcare disparities disproportionately affect marginalized communities, and we are determined to bridge the gap. Our clinic is a safe space where everyone is treated with respect and dignity, regardless of their background or circumstances. We believe that true change begins at the community level. By building strong relationships with the African American community in New Orleans, we aim to create a healthcare partnership that understands and addresses our community’s unique needs. Our goal is to empower our community with the knowledge and tools to take charge of their health.
